What this portal is

This is a secure client portal run by ac-co.ai for the firm that invited you to this portal. It lets you view and send documents, review and sign documents, accept quotes, pay invoices and see matters the firm has chosen to share with you. By using it you agree to these terms. Your services themselves are provided by the firm that invited you to this portal under its own engagement terms with you, not by ac-co.ai.

Your access

  • Access is by invitation from the firm. The firm can suspend or close it at any time.
  • Keep your sign-in secure. Do not share sign-in links or one-time codes — anyone who has them can see your documents. Tell the firm straight away if you think someone else has access.
  • Only upload files you are entitled to share, and nothing unlawful or harmful (for example malware). Do not try to access anyone else's information or interfere with the portal.

Signing and payments

Documents you sign here are signed electronically, and the portal keeps a record of when and by whom they were signed. Electronic signatures are intended to be as binding as a handwritten signature to the extent the law allows — read what you sign first. Invoices and quotes are between you and the firm that invited you to this portal. Online card payments are taken by Stripe; the portal never sees your card details.

Your data

How your personal data is used is explained in the privacy notice and the cookie notice.

Availability and liability

We take reasonable care to keep the portal secure and available, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control, so do not rely on it alone for deadlines — contact the firm if you cannot reach it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed. They are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales.
